With us children are encouraged to respect and love their roots and their fatherland, to connect even more closely with their parents and relatives in their country of origin, to get to know and understand them better.
In order for children to feel at home when they come to Serbia and easily acquire the language and the rich Serbian culture, and to not perceive learning of their heritage language as another obligation that prevents them from playing and spontaneously discovering the world, we have developed an imaginative, high-quality and original method of knowledge transfer that brings exceptional results.
The Sava method
The specific “Sava” method has emerged from the experience of the teaching staff of the well-known Belgrade elementary school “Zvezdobrojci”, which is constantly being developed and improved, as it follows contemporary pedagogical achievements and is adapted to the needs of students and the specifics of online teaching.
Taking into account students’ talents, interests, level of knowledge of the Serbian language, the need for play and movement, the need to belong to a group, but also to stand out with individual skills, we have created classes where it never gets boring and knowledge and language are taught naturally and holistically. During lessons at the “Sava” school, students learn from the teacher and from each other, and the content of the lessons is adapted to the age and interests of the students so that they are not burdened by the school framework and planned schedules.
